A key element of each site is traffic analysis. When the traffic analysis is important to understand the difference between visits and visitors … and why both are important.
Being one with the recording
To analyze traffic to a site, you should watch the server logs. Server logs come in very raw data, but most hosting companies have interpretive programs that summarize the information in readable form. In these programs, you should be able to analyze who is sending traffic, number of visits and visitors, among other information.
Hits v. Visitors – The Game Is On …
Many people, myself included, are lazy when it comes to discussing traffic results. We tend to use "views" as a penalty for traffic hitting a web site. This is not completely true. The traffic should always be analyzed into two categories, success and visitors.
A visitor is a click of a place on the net to your site. In the server logs, the visitor will be credited to visit only once regardless of the number of pages visitors view. By example, a person entering a brick mortar bookseller is only a potential customer, regardless of the number of books that look.
A coup "is a click on any page of the site and represents a multiple of visitors. In reviewing the server logs, successes represent number of users who clicked on the site pages. Returning to our example of the library all the books given by the person at the library would be a success. Therefore, this information is more important?

The simple fact is both visitors and successes Statistics are important to analyze your server logs. Obviously, information on the number of visitors is important because you want to know who the clients are potential reach your site. That said, we should never focus on visitors regardless of success too.
Hits are important because the number of hits tells you important information about your site. Successfully represent the total number of pages viewed by visitors, you can use the information to determine the effectiveness of your site. I call this the most original and sophisticated name "watches relationship." Back our library example.
Suppose a person walks into a bookstore and is only based on a book. This may mean that person who knew what he wanted, he found it and bought it. Obviously, it is an ideal result. But what if a thousand people enter the library and just watch a pound of each? The library has a problem and start trying to know what it is. Statistics of clicks on your server to say the same thing.
If your site has multiple pages, you need to know if visitors click on the internal pages. This is generally known to determine the depth of your site. The best way is to divide the number of visits per visitor numbers from a period of time. This figure will tell if people see a "book" or take a look around.
The statistical analysis of your server may be a real opening experience. Information can be good or bad, but at least you'll know if the corrective action.
